AFRICA

West Africa

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders do not require a visa to any West African country.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is allowed.

    • Yellow Fever vaccination card is mandatory.

East Africa

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • Confirmed hotel accommodation is recommended but not compulsory.

    • Yellow Fever vaccination card is mandatory.

    • One-way travel is not allowed except for students, work-permit holders, or residents.

North Africa

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed.

    • Confirmed hotel accommodation is optional.

Southern Africa

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed.

    • Confirmed hotel accommodation is mandatory.

    • Yellow Fever vaccination card may be required depending on country of origin.


ASIA

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed (students also need a return ticket) except residents.

    • Yellow Fever vaccination card is mandatory.


EUROPE

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed for tourist or business visa holders.

    • Travel Insurance is mandatory for visa applications.

    • Passengers flying to the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) on Air France, KLM, or Lufthansa require an additional transit visa—such as a USA, Canadian, or Schengen visa.

      • A transit visa for the operating airline may also be used.

      • This requirement is due to Brexit.

    • If your flight transits through two Schengen states, a Schengen visa is required.


NORTH AMERICA

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed for tourist or business visa holders.

    • Flights transiting the USA (including routes to the Caribbean such as Bahamas, Cuba, etc.) require a USA visa.


SOUTH AMERICA

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed for tourist or business visa holders.

    • Yellow Fever vaccination card is mandatory.

    • If your flight transits through two countries, visas for each of those countries are required.


AUSTRALIA

  • Visa Requirements: Nigerian passport holders require a visa.

  • Travel Conditions:

    • One-way travel is not allowed for tourist or business visa holders.

    • For any flight with a technical stop in an Australian city (Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra), a visa is required.
